Semi truck collision repair requires a deeply detailed process: assessing structural damage, realigning frames, straightening chassis, replacing components, repairing mechanical and electrical components. It’s a technician’s task to fully restore the truck to its original integrity. The vehicle must be able to pass a comprehensive inspection before returning to service.
Client Background
H&S Enterprises is a transportation service located in Phillipsburg, New Jersey. Their family owned and operated trucking company has three generations “continuously [striving] to provide our customers with the most efficient and professional service offered by any transportation company around.”
The Challenge
Kenny, the owner of H&S, called Coopersburg Kenworth and requested an estimate of his 2007 Peterbilt 379 Sleeper. The vehicle had major collision damage to the right front-end. One of our team members traveled to the company’s truck yard, was able to provide them with an estimate and agreed to repair the truck.
Our Solution
Our body shop technicians completed this extensive front rebuild by installing new components like a bumper, hood, right air cleaner, right door outer skin, and front springs. They also repaired the frame, performed suspension work, and aligned all axles. To finish the job, the hood, right cab, and roof panel were repainted in our 60-foot bake cycle paint booth.
The Result
Our team was able to successfully restore the truck’s original look while giving it an updated, pristine appearance. Using a factory-equivalent base with clear top coat was the perfect match of color and durability.
