To restore a semi truck to factory standards, you must go to a truck body shop with Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) certifications for your specific make and model. OEM-certified repair centers are the only ones with the proper training, equipment, and parts required to meet a manufacturer’s exact specifications.
The Challenge
This Freightliner Sleeper sustained major damage from an accident. The wreck damaged the entire front and left side of the truck, which resulted in needing total component replacements. Based on the initial inspections, the job was sizing up to be a challenging one for our body shop team.
Our Solution
Our team replaced the entire front and left side of the sleeper, including the bumper, hood, left-side door and frame.
The technicians first removed the door, then measured and aligned the opening. After that, they aligned the cab to the frame and fitted the new door jamb to the cab. Then, they installed a brand new door. Along the way, they made adjustments to make sure each part fit properly. Completing the repairs was the installation of the doorframe.
The Result
The customer was very happy with the results. At the time of delivery, they thoroughly examined the truck and were impressed with the work of our body shop team. We were able to repair this unit back to factory standards in a timely manner using OEM-quality parts and materials.
