PACCAR Connect: Better Connectivity for Kenworth Trucks

Kenworth and PACCAR are introducing a new connectivity and convenience feature called PACCAR Connect. Expected to be available across Kenworth and Peterbilt Class 8 trucks beginning early 2027, PACCAR Connect combines vehicle diagnostics, driver tools, camera views, and fleet applications together into one display.

At the center of this new platform is a built-in 15-inch high-definition touchscreen. The display combines a truck-focused layout with physical controls that make it easier for drivers to access important information within their line of sight while on the road.

PACCAR Connect Features

PACCAR Connect offers a full range of features to simplify everyday driving and fleet management.

Vehicle Health and Diagnostics

There is full access to fault codes, service notifications, and vehicle performance stats directly from the dashboard. The system provides details about potential issues, possible causes, and troubleshooting steps to help determine whether the problem requires further attention from a technician.

“Hey, Kenworth!” Voice Assistance

Drivers can use voice commands like “Hey, Kenworth!” to access certain truck functions and information without having to manually navigate through the touchscreen.

Camera Integration

The system can connect up to eight cameras, with four digital and four analog inputs. Drivers can set the cameras to automatically pop up when using turn signals or shifting into reverse to help improve visibility around the truck.

Apple CarPlay and Bluetooth Connectivity

Drivers can connect compatible Apple devices through CarPlay. Plus, drivers can pair two phones at the same time.

Digital Manuals and Driver Tutorials

There are searchable operator manuals and instructional videos directly within the dashboard display for helpful truck-specific tips.

Kenworth Dealer Locator

Drivers can easily find nearby Kenworth dealerships, their contact information, and get directions all from the digital display.

Access to Third-Party Applications

PACCAR Connect also supports third-party applications through its app marketplace. This gives fleets more flexibility to connect compatible tools with their trucks.

What Can PACCAR Connect Do?

PACCAR Connect isn’t just made to improve the driver experience. Through the PACCAR Connect Portal, fleet managers can find important information about their vehicles including remote diagnostics, mileage, location, warranty status, and idle time.

The platform also lets drivers upload job-related documents while they’re on the road. By bringing these tools together in one place, fleets can stay organized and cut down on the need for multiple aftermarket devices. Plus, since the system is covered by the factory warranty, it’s designed to work seamlessly with the truck from the start.

Kenworth’s New Connectivity Options

Kenworth plans to roll out PACCAR Connect across its new heavy-duty lineup in early 2027. The platform expands the current telematics and remote diagnostics tools. With its larger touchscreen, voice assistance, app connectivity, and integrated vehicle diagnostics, PACCAR Connect is another step forward in Kenworth’s approach to improve driver productivity and fleet connectivity.
